To make nouns that end in a vowel (a, e, i, o, u) plural, we just add an ‘s’ to the end of the word.
For example, the word for apple is ‘manzana’, so to say apples we just add an ‘s’ so it becomes ‘manzanas’.
To make nouns that end in a consonant plural, we add ‘es’ to the end of the word.
For example, the word for peach is ‘melocotón’, so to say peaches we just add an ‘es’ so it becomes ‘melocotones’.
For making nouns that end in a ‘z’ plural, we change the ‘z’ to a ‘c’ then add ‘es’.
For example, the word for a pet fish is ‘pez’, so to say fish (plural) we remove the ‘z’ and replace it with ‘c’ then add ‘es’ so it becomes ‘peces’.
