‘El'- This is used when talking about something that is masculine singular eg. El castillo
'La'- This is used when talking about something that is feminine singular eg. La tienda
'Los'- This is used when talking about something that is masculine plural eg. Los zapatos
'Las'- Used when talking about something that is feminine plural eg. Las botas
